KGF star Yash visits Dharmastala ahead of Toxic shoot, family photo goes viral

According to reports, Yash will begin the shoot of the Geetu Mohandas directorial film Toxic on August 8. The film, touted to be an action-oriented thriller, is said to be set against the backdrop of drug trade.

Yash, who is all set to kickstart the shoot of his upcoming pan-India film Toxic, recently visited the Shri Sadashiva Rudra Surya Temple, Shri Manjunatheshwara Temple in Dharmastala, and Kukke Subramanya Temple in Subramnaya, Karnataka. According to ANI, the Geetu Mohandas directorial will go on floors on August 8. According to film trade analyst Taran Adarsh, there is a reason behind the actor choosing August 8 to begin the filming of the action-drama.

Taking to his official X handle, Adarsh wrote, “Interestingly, the number 8 has a strong association with #Yash… It also matches his birth date and date on which the official announcement of #Toxic was made.”

Yash was accompanied by his wife and actor Radhika Pandit, their kids–Ayra and Yatharv–and, Toxic’s producer Venkat K Narayana. Several photos of the actor’s temple visits are going viral on social media.

The film was first announced on December 8 last year. It was reported that Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor is also a part of the project. However, there was no confirmation to that from the makers of the film.

Recently, it was rumoured that actress Tara Sutaria will play the second leading lady in the film and will also play the love interest of Yash. However, soon after the reports surfaced online, the actress took to her Instagram Stories and said, “Hello all! The articles released over the last few days about a project and I are false and not shared by me. Whenever there is something to share, I will share it with all of you! PS-Nobody is second to anyone.”

There were also reports of actress Nayanthara and Kiara Advani, and Shruti Haasan joining the cast but there has been no confirmation.

The film titled Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups, is all set to hit the theatres on April 10, 2025. The Yash-starrer is touted to be an action-oriented film set against the backdrop of the drug mafia.

The film is set between the 1950s and 1970s. An entire world of Toxic has been created — a larger-than-life version of that era, yet very authentic. The set is situated on the outskirts of Bangalore, and the level of detail is something that will blow the audience’s mind.
